We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Data Entry Clerk who will be uploading information into our database. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is critical.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be transferring data from different information sources into database systems using keyboards, data recorders or scanners, typing in data provided directly from customers, verifying data by comparing it to source documents, updating existing data, retrieving data from the database or electronic files as requested, performing regular backups to ensure data preservation, and sorting and organizing paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as data entry clerk

  • Fast typing skills, excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)

  • Basic understanding of databases

  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills

  • Great attention to detail

  • Proven ability to work well independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

  • High school degree or equivalent
